Kursen Framsteg inom turism och konsumentbeteende börjar den 10 november 2025. 10-14 november på campus och 12-13 januari 2026 online via Zoom.
Advances in tourism consumer behaviour (Framsteg inom turism och konsumentbeteende)
This course aims to offer students an in-depth understanding of key concepts, influencing factors, emerging topics and as well as methodological aspects in tourism consumer behaviour. In particular, the course focuses on sustainability in tourist consumer behaviour including value perspectives, transformative experiences and pro-sustainable behaviour.
The course consists of 2 parts. One on-campus in November of 2025 and a final seminar in January 2026 online. The on-campus part consists of lectures and literature seminars, and the final seminar online is for presentation and discussion of submitted course papers. The course is based on required course reading, a list of selected readings (1 paper/student) for approximately 2 literature seminars, and a bibliography. Well in advance of the start of the course on campus, further details will be provided as participants will need to prepare their participation before coming to campus in Östersund, Sweden in November of 2025.
