Access to Microsoft 365 blocked from high‑risk countries

Tue 17 Jun 2025 15:57

Access to Microsoft 365 from Iran, China, and Russia is now blocked to strengthen IT security. Exceptions may be granted for business travel via the service portal.

To protect the university’s information, a decision has been made to block access to Microsoft 365 (e.g. Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive) from Iran, China, and Russia (MIUN 2025/1720). This means you will not be able to sign in to Microsoft 365 services while in any of these countries.

If you are travelling to one of these countries for business purposes, you can apply for an exception via the service portal or by contacting IT support. It is also possible to borrow a specially prepared device for the trip.

If you have any questions, please contact IT support. We are also happy to join your staff meeting (APT) to provide more information if needed.
