Sociology MA, Research Design, 7.5 Credits
In this course, students are introduced to strategies to design and conduct their Master’s thesis project. Students learn to conduct a proper literature review and evaluate empirically based studies. The course intends to provide students with a critical understanding of the process and complexity of doing research.
The structure of the teaching
The campus course includes several meetings where you are expected to participate on site, and some components require mandatory attendance.
The distance course requires that you have access to a computer with an internet connection. All communication takes place via the course’s online platform and meeting tools such as Zoom.
Entry requirements
A bachelor's degree of at least 180 credits in social or behavioural sciences, of which a minimum of 60 credits in sociology. English level 2/English 6 from Swedish Upper Secondary School (Gymnasium) or the equivalent.
