Access to library e‑resources
What should you do if you can’t access an article or database? Here you’ll find help and tips on using the library’s e-resources, both on and off campus, as well as what to do if something isn’t working.
As a student or employee at Mid Sweden University, you can search the library's databases both on and off campus.
Off-campus
All students and employees at Mid Sweden University can access our electronic material anywhere, anytime. When you are off campus you gain full access to the library's e-resources by logging in with your MIUN / student account.
If you are an employee, you can use Mid Sweden University's VPN service and then have access to the library's e-resources without extra login.
Troubleshooting & Tips
Having trouble logging in with your MIUN / student account?
If the login does not work or you do not remember your password or have never activated the login to your student portal account, contact the IT Support.
Are you getting an error message or a completely white page?
This problem can usually be solved by clearing cache and cookies in your browser. If that doesn't help: Test with another browser. If not, contact the library via chat or make an error report.
Are you missing links to the Library e-resources in Google Scholar?
1. Go to Google Scholar and click on the "hamburger menu" in the upper left corner.
2. Select Settings: Library Links
3. Search for miun
4. Add Mid Sweden University - MIUN Full Text Finder
On-Campus
When you are using the Mid Sweden University network you can access all the library's databases without logging in. You are connected to the network when you use a computer in the library, in a computer room or in a service room.
