At Quality Technology and Management, we pursue research, education, and collaborative initiatives that advance organizational development and contribute to societal well-being through systematic quality work.
Quality Technology is a practice-oriented field concerned with creating and developing value in organisations, products, and services. We take a systems perspective and use methods that help organisations improve over the long term. This means examining how work processes can be enhanced, how resources can be used more intelligently, and how we can develop solutions that benefit people, organisations, and society as a whole.
At Mid Sweden University, we combine education and research. Our students and researchers work interdisciplinarily on real-world challenges together with companies, public authorities, and professional networks. Our staff have broad professional experience in organisational development, with backgrounds in engineering, economics, Human Resources Management, quality development, pedagogy, and psychology.
We educate future leaders through our Master’s programme in Quality and Leadership Development, 60 credits (the programme is mainly taught in Swedish). The programme focuses on sustainable, customer-oriented organisational development and includes continuous improvement and process development. We offer several standalone courses and contribute courses to other study programmes. We also provide doctoral education, with PhD students affiliated with various organisations both nationally and internationally.
